Wolfie the Bunny is a delightful tale about the power of love. When a bunny family finds a wolf cub left in a basket on their doorstep the bunny parents immediately adopt him and treat him as their beloved son. Their young daughter, Dot, insists that it is a bad idea and Wolfie will eventually eat them all up! Over the course of the story, however, Wolfie even wins over Dot. This is because he responds to the unconditional love of the bunny family with the same unconditional love for them.
The large, bold illustrations add to the appeal of Wolfie the Bunny for young readers. The humorous expressions of Dot as she displays the frustrations of an older sister for a younger brother made me chuckle out loud–and will do the same for younger readers!
